On Sunday last, Robert Preston, aged about 14 years, son of Robert A. Preston, residing on the Chowchilla, met with a serious accident by an accidental discharge of a shotgun, which shattered his hand and arm below the elbow to an alarming extent. It is supposed he will lose some two or three fingers, and that he will have a crippled arm during life.
